Snapper are still being found right across the Bay and offshore.

With the weather well and truly warming try targeting Snapper on soft plastics in the shallower water before the sun rises above the islands which is when they go deeper.

I’ve mentioned this before but a handy trick is to find some jellyfish and drop your plastic or bait through it. Snapper love eating Jellyfish!

Pelagic are making their presence felt offshore and inshore. Pearl Perch on the 100m line, Dolphinfish at the wave rider and Diver Whiting at the Chain Banks and Sand Hills using Live Blood Worms.

Tailor are still in good numbers around Stradbroke Island – one spot is south of the causeway.

Off the mainland foreshore try walking the outgoing tide for Whiting and Flathead with bloodworms and frogmouth pilchards the best bait.

GOLD COAST FLATHEAD CLASSIC
The Gold Coast Flathead Classic winds up today in what has been a record breaking year with 275 registered teams taking part.
Conditions were trying yesterday (Thursday) with strong winds but through the tough day at the office, a couple of big catches were recorded.

The Tackle World team 'Team Jackson Lures' has been amongst the revelry. They, like the rest of the teams will be out for a 'lucky' final day today with $250,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.

A leaky boat has restricted the movements of Tackle World's 'Team Jackson Lures' but they've recorded some solid snares. The highlight surely has to be a rather hilarious and beautiful cast onto a bank followed by a retrieval. It's best not to reveal whose cast it was as it wouldn't be kind to Peter from Davo’s Tackle World Noosa!
