King Fish off the Tweed Bar, Snapper east of Q1 45m of water and the chance of an Amberjack on the 45s off the Gold Coast.

Pelagic are starting to fire around the fads such as the wave rider off Point Lookout - early morning is the key. Later in the day trolled skirts are well worth a go for Dolphinfish and the occasional Black Marlin is starting to show as well. Blue Marlin catches are still solid, Pearl Peach and Snapper on the local reefs as well.

Try for Mackerel on slugs north of Mud Island early - morning is preferred. Mackerel and Tuna have been smashing the bait schools off Shark Spit and the four beacons. Once again early morning is best.

The Sand Crabs have been in good numbers at the Sand Hills in the deeper water. Summer Whiting are being caught at Kooringal on the southern end of Moreton Island with Yabbies being the best bait. Just legal Sweetlip at Green Island on Mullet fillet with little to no weight.

Threadfin Salmon and Squire in the lower reaches of the Brisbane river, the rock bars and walls have seen some nice Bream in the same area.

With the warmer weather the Parrot are starting to bite in the deeper holes around Peel Island - the best bait is rock crab or sand crab if you can’t acquire either a Green Banana Prawn will work.

Quality Diver Whiting have been caught over the last month with blood worms and cured beach worms being the best baits. These fish have been in different locations so a bit of traveling is required but it’s well worth the result.
