Offshore
Kingfish and Amberjack on jigs in 50 fathoms finding the bait is essential, nice Snapper on the 36's south east of the bar.

The Dolphinfish have been schooling on the FADS, Black Marlin off Cape Moreton, Blue Marlin at the shelf - there are some good signs of a good Marlin season this year let's hope.

The coffee rock in the shallows along Moreton island should start to produce Spanish Mackerel over the next month as should the group off Stradbroke island.

Inshore
Mangrove Jack will well and truly start to bite if we get a few afternoon storms that have been predicted. Bait fishing for Mangrove Jack - best bait is Pike, Bonito Fillet and Poddy Mullet.

Lure fishing - the best lures are Lucky Craft Pointers 78XD and 100XD and Rapala Shadow Rap however the hooks need to be upgraded on the Shadow rap but buy using a heavier hook - this makes the lure suspend longer in the strike zone.

Summer Whiting are biting well in the Logan river and the Jacob's well area on Yabbies and Blood Worms.
The Brisbane river is fishing well for Thread Fin Salmon and Mulloway soft vibes and 5 inch soft plastics are working best, the channel markers are worth a jig for some school Mackerel as are the channel markers in the Northern Bay.

Green and Mud islands fish well in the early mornings for Snapper and Sweet Lip with the occasional Mosses Perch being caught.

Fish the flood tide on the foreshores for Flathead and Whiting. I have found the foreshore at Wynnum well worth a look in the late afternoon.

Quality Bream are on the bite in the Raby Bay canal system. This canal system is one of the most under-rated fisheries on the Bay and is fish able in 20 knots.
