DONNYBROOK: Talk to Darren at Donnybrook Tackle and Takeaway. 54988247
It has been a little quiet around here of late. However there have been a few tailor coming from Mission Point and from the yellow X over bacon. There are some fair flathead around and are best from Gallagher’s Gutter, from the Glassy sand flats, from Dunlop’s Gutter and from lime Pocket. There are some fair quality whiting coming from Poverty Creek, around the mouth of Glassy and from Lime Pocket. A few bream around and are best from the creek mouths, the weed banks, the oyster leases and from the Donnybrook Jetty. There are few snapper around so I would be trying around Whitepatch and from the 112’s. The mud crabs are out in good numbers but they are mostly just undersize at the moment. They are best at the moment from the top of Glassy, and Coochin creek area. Watch out for a few mangrove jack at the moment and they would be best from Coochin and the 112’s. There have also been a couple of decent mulloway taken lately but I have no location for them but [probably Little Goat Island would be worth a try.
