BEACHMERE: Talk to Charlie or the boys from the Beachmere Sportfishing Club
The winds have been very strong this week but the fisho's who took advantage from the Jew hole up were rewarded with a feed. Good size flathead were caught on plastics and live bait and there are some nice size tailor ripping into the live baits. Some good size flathead were caught from the floating pontoon this week, and it is good to see the young boys and girls casting a line. There are some whiting out the front of Beachmere but you have to work for them and yabbies are the best bait.

Following on with the story from last week, on the submerged navigation beacon down at Bakers Flats, as a member of The Beachmere Sport's Fishing Club, and worried about all the boaties on the water with the School holidays, Charlie Sparrow contacted The Dept of Marine Safety at Pinkenba, who knew about it and can't or won't do anything about it. So he emailed Lisa France M.P. for Pumicestone to ask for the Minister responsible to be notified. Within five minutes of receiving my email Lisa France had spoken to the Minister regarding the beacon down, and will advise the Beachmere Sports Fishing Club of the outcome. Thank you Lisa France MP. Cheers J. D.
