BRIBIE: Talk to Joe at Bribie Sports and Cycles. 34081347
The winter whiting are around in big numbers at the moment. They are coming from the southern beaches, from the Passage from the beaches at Woorim from the beacons off Bribie Passage as well as from the Cockle banks and from around the Red Buoy in Deception bay. There are some good quality bream around and are best from the Bongaree Jetty, from Buckley’s Hole, Cooks Rocks, Tiger Rocks, from under the bridge and from the oyster banks in Ningi Creek. There has been some fair quality flathead coming from the mainland side of the passage near the bridge. There has been the odd chopper tailor around the Woorim beach. There are lots of sand crabs around and are best below the bridge where they are in good numbers. . I have no info from offshore as very few are getting out lately
