Post by Tony Zann » Fri Aug 02, 2013 3:43 pm

Rain last 7 days: 10 mm
Water level current: 46.1 %
Water level: 24/07/13 45.2%
Current discharge: 565 ML per day.
Current inflow: 2045 ML per day.
Water visibility: up to 1.5 metres
Weather: The showers didn’t eventuate last weekend. The rain came down on Monday. We will have a top temp of 11° for both Saturday and Sunday with a low of 4. The winds are also predicted up to 18kmh for Saturday with 80% chance of 1 to 5 mm of rain both days.
New Moon = Aug 7 Full Moon = Aug 21 Water Temperature: 12°-14°
Murray cod: Warren Boyd has been turning up every couple of weekends of late spending time on the water and look at the result, a 114cm Burrinjuck beauty landed in the Main Basin on Sunday at 8am while casting a large white skirted spinnerbait. He was telling me how he had decided to upgrade his casting outfit through the week. Lucky. Warren had also caught a 65cm and a 79 cm fish on Saturday using the same method but a different colour. This is the 6th fish over a metre to be captured in the same water since December. Warren was the only cod report for the weekend. It was a good one
Yellowbelly: The water was like glass over the weekend, for a change, and the weather was warm. Bait fishing with worms in the main basin on standing timber is still producing the odd fish. Pavel from Doonside reported a 48cm & 45 cm fish using this method. This was the only report I received.
Redfin: No reports
Trout: The trout have been vey quiet this year. We usually have a few picked up by the land-based bait fisherman this time of year.
Silver perch: No reports this week
Park News: The new cottages are to be delivered on the 20th & 22nd of August. They will be connected to power etc and will be online within a couple of weeks after that. Cottage 11 will replace cottage 18 and all current bookings will transfer to this cottage. We now have another cottage which will be in high demand. Cottage 12 is wheelchair accessible with an accessible bathroom & wider door openings. I have decided to pull a name out of the hat to allocate Christmas, Easter and long weekend bookings for cottage 12. You will not be able to then rebook year after year as is done with other accommodation. You will need to be on the waiting list to be in the draw by contacting 02 62278114.
