Current inflow: 790 ML per day.
Water level: 30/04/14 54.6 %
Water visibility: up to 1 metres in main basin
Rain last 7 days = 16 mm
Forecast Weather Showers are predicted for Saturday with temps between 8 & 17 deg C. Winds up to 11 kmh on Saturday.
Full Moon = May 15th, New Moon = May 29th
Water Temperature: 19-21 deg

As predicted the weather was cold wet & windy over the weekend which resulted in very few fishermen venturing out.

Murray Cod
Still very quiet. No reports at all this week. The winds and showers over the weekend made it very tough going and not too many fishermen braved the conditions.

Yellow Belly
The lower end of the Bidgee River arm from Scrubby to the Main Basin still continues to produce good numbers of yellow belly. The bait fishermen are still having the most success mainly because of the depths the fish seem to be holding at. Dropping baits to the bottom and bobbing around the standing timber in up to 60 feet/ 19 metres of water is producing fish. There are a lot of smaller just legal fish being caught. Small yabbies, shrimp and worms are all working but it will pay to have a couple of different baits as the fish seem to change their preference. The lure casters should do OK if they try plastics, vibes or crankbaits dropped down beside the trees. The guys trolling will struggle if the fish stay at these depths. I managed to get out on Tuesday afternoon and could see plenty of fish on the structure scan, holding off the bottom in less than 10 metres of water. We tried bobbing various lures and spinner baits but could not get a touch. We did not try bait.

Redfin

Catch rates have dropped off however there are a few fish appearing at the cleaning tables this week.

Trout
No reports.
