Murray Cod: Closed Season 1st September – 30th November

Yellow Belly: The boys from the WWAI fishing club payed us a visit this week. The total yellow belly haul for the weekend was 28. Trolled Kokoda, Jackals & Stucky’s lures were the best.

Small size green and yellow Predatek were taking a few but seem to find the cod a lot better. The picture attached is a 61 cm fish caught by Gerard Gaynor measuring 61cm the fish was caught by a trolled purple Jackal and released. George Wallace also posted a very nice 58cm fish on our face book page. George landed his on small yabbies while fishing a steep rock wall. We had a few other bait fishing reports from both River arms. Live shrimp seems to be the most popular. Probably because their easy to catch and a bit cheaper than the yabbies. Graeme at Tackle World Wagga usually has a good supply of Yabbies this time of year. (Free Plug). Best areas still seem to be from Scrubby up to and around the Islands above the Junction.

Redfin: We are still waiting for the redies to fire up, Usually November before we start to see any big numbers being caught. There have been a few bigger fish taken over the last few weeks mainly on the troll.

Carp: The Jugiong Carpathon is on this weekend. Registration is on Saturday & Sunday at the Jugiong Community Hall.

Park News: fires are still on for this weekend but will be on a week to week basis. You will need to bring your own wood or we have a limited supply available at the office.

The 41st Annual Burrinjuck convention is not far off. It's conducted by the Canberra Fishermen’s Club, and will be on held on the 7th & 8th of November. www.canberrafishos.com
