Forecast Weather: There could be up to 50mm of rain over the next 2 days. The weather should be fine for the Burrinjuck Convention this coming weekend. Temps will range between 11 & 24 degrees C. Light winds peaking at 12kmh.
New Moon = November 12th Full Moon = November 26th Water Temperature: 23-25 deg

Murray Cod: Closed Season 1st September – 30th November

Yellow Belly: The unsettled weather during the last week or so has resulted in the yellows going off the bite compared to the previous few weeks. Most of the fishermen through the office were going home without a single fish. Maybe they hadn’t read my reports? Ben from Canberra managed 9 yellows between 30 & 50 cm on Sunday. Ben was casting vibes around Macey’s Bay. There were quite a few other reports of 1 or 2 fish but generally quieter all round. Bait fishing after dark is also well worth a go with a few of the river campers reporting good numbers of small yellows taking there bait.

Redfin: In contrast everyone was catching redfin. Trolling, casting or bait fishing with worms, all methods were working.

Carp: There has been plenty of big carp being caught, mainly on worms. Fishing around the park
foreshore will pick up plenty of these pests. The Burrinjuck Convention this weekend will see many of the competitors chasing big carp to accumulate points for the weekend. They should do OK based on recent reports. Many of the competitors bring out the fly gear. Fish up to 80cm have been caught in the past few weeks.

Trout: No reports this week

Park News: Now that the sewer works have been mostly completed on our power sites we have now invested in 1500m2 of Sir Walter soft Buffalo on around ½ the sites. The remainder will be offline untill Christmas while we attempt to grow some Sir Walter grass seed.

Fires are still on for this weekend but will be on a week to week basis. You will need to bring your own wood or we have a limited supply available at the office.

The 41st Annual Burrinjuck convention is not far off. It's conducted by the Canberra Fishermen’s Club, and will be on held on the 7th & 8th of November. www.canberrafishos.com
