Water level 02/12/15: 67.7%
Water visibility: up to 3 metres
Rain past 7 days: 2 mm
Forecast Weather: Mostly sunny with a top temp of 30 Deg for Sunday. Winds to reach 17km on Saturday. A low pressure system is approaching from the bite.
New Moon = December 11th Full Moon = December 25th Water Temperature: 23-25 deg

Murray Cod: Well the cod season is up and running. Last year we had 12 cod over 1 metre caught and released in the first 10 days. Not quite the same start this year. The full moon last year occurred on the 6th of December whare as we missed the moon this year but we get it for Christmas. Young Harry Chittick, from Canberra, was the first one to beat the magic metre with a nice 105 cm fish landed while trolling a 90 mm AC Invader. The cod also broke the bib on the lure. There were quite a few fish above the 90 cm mark also landed. Most guys were opting to troll big lures or spinnerbaits. Or just to cast spinnerbaits. The main Basin, around Wade Island and the lower end of the Bidgee River arm were the most popular spots.

Yellow Belly: Remain quiet-ish but from all reports I think there is too much other food in the water. There is schools of Gudgeon, Redfin and probably Carp as well as an abundance of shrimp. There is still the occasional Yellow being taken on the troll, although most had the bigger lures out this weekend. If you are after a feed of yellows. The trees in the deeper water remain the best option. With shrimp, Yabbies or plastics.

Redfin: There are quite a few being taken on the troll, as we all know a redfin will try and eat a lure as big as itself. I did have a report of a school at the mouth of the Bidgee River/ Main Basin.

Carp: It’s time once again to put your donger stick in the boat. Carp are taking lures. This also happened last December. One fishermen reported 27 carp for the weekend with others just writing heaps of carp on the report. The carp by all reports are hitting everything with Jackals a real favourite.

Park News: Please bring drinking water this weekend. We will have no water in the park for a 5 hour period this Thursday 10th Dec while the final cut over is done and also we have a power outage on the 15th December. No more fires, includes heat beads.
