Current discharge: 1600 ML per day.
Water level 20/04/16: 33.2%
Current inflow: 200 ML per day.
Water level 13/04/16: 34.4%
Water visibility: up to 2 metres
Rain past 7 days: 2.0 mm
Forecast Weather: Showers late Thursday & Friday with up to 5 mm predicted each day. Sunny with temps ranging from 8 to 24 deg C for the weekend, Winds light.
Full Moon = April 22nd New Moon = May 7th Water Temperature: 20-22 deg

Murray Cod: Remain relatively quiet during the past week. The occasional smaller fish up to 60cm has been taken on the troll. This weekend should hopefully see a few bigger fish caught with the full moon occurring on Friday night and many anglers having a crack after dark.

Yellow Belly: Plenty of fisherman have been in for a pre fish over the past week for this weekend’s Australian yellow Belly Championships. The Black plastic grubs have been getting a work out with a number of the fisherman finding a fish holding tree or 2. The bottom end of the dam, Main Basin, despite having plenty of trees out of the water has gone a bit quiet. The top end of Wade Island was still going OK for the bait fisherman. Trolling for yellows will be a bit slow. The hot spots seem to be from Little Scrubby upstream to the Islands and into the Yass River Arm. Only about a 5 minute run for some of the boats this weekend.

Redfin: Plenty of redfin being caught in the same areas as the yellows. Upstream from Scrubby with reports of some good sized fish amongst the catches. Bait such as shrimp or worms, try a jig or small soft plastic minnows.

Park News: The Australian Yellow Belly Championships will be staged from the park on the Anzac long weekend. Entry & info from

Another full house this weekend with only unpowered camping remaining. Once the crowds subside, after this weekend, The park will be conducting some hazard reduction burns to finalize our bush fire preparation works.
