Current discharge: 5900 ML per day.
Water level 03/08/16: 85.1 %
Current inflow: 9870 ML per day.
Water level 28/07/16: 79.4 %
Water visibility: poor 30cm
Forecast Weather: Looks like we have some sunshine for the next week with the next bout of rain forecast next Wednesday. Temps to range between 1 & 13 degrees C
New Moon = August 3rd Full Moon = 18 August Water Temperature: 8 -11 deg C

Yellow Belly: remain as your best chance of a fish this week. The water is very dirty at present with a lot of debris including the odd tree floating around. I managed to get out for a quick fish but mainly to get some pics of the many waterfalls that continue to pour into the dam. There is a very impressive one on the inside of Wade Island as well as the big waterfall in the back end of Flaggy Creek (next bay upstream from Macey’s) where the water is much clearer. Bait fishing for Yellows with worms around the shallows seems to be the only method producing results at the moment. We have had a couple of cool sunny days so things may pick up over the weekend as a high pressure system moves in over this part of the state for the next few days.

The 2nd Greg Whitehead fishing challenge is only a couple of weeks away from the start on the 19th of August, the competition will be based at Burrinjuck Waters. The entry fee is $50.00 per senior and $20.00 per junior with a team event also added to this year’s prizes. There is $40000 in prizes and giveaways which includes the Quintrex F390 which will be drawn on Sunday afternoon, you must be present to win that one. I am able to email out information & entry forms or we have the info at the park office. You can also give Adam a call on 0422717077 for entry or other information. This year’s comp is limited to 450 entrants, as of Monday there were around 100 spots available.
