Murray Cod: Cod closed season is fast approaching with only one weekend remaining this month, just as the catch rates were starting to improve. The largest Murray Cod senior winner on the weekend was Jason Swan with a 91.5 cm fish taken on a trolled spinner bait. Jason also caught a PB of 90cm in the pre fish prior to competition. The junior winner was Max Spackman with a nice 81 cm fish. With the team’s event this year we had a better measure on the fish being caught because prizes were for the biggest fish in each category, not all fish were recorded.
