Water level 19/10/16: 94.9 %
Current inflow: 6000 ML per day.
Water level 12/10/16: 93.8 %
Water visibility: 100cm
Forecast Weather: possible showers Friday with a top of 24 C, the weekend is looking a little cooler with top temp of 18 C on Sunday. The winds will finally ease over the coming week.
Rainfall this month = 90 mm
New Moon = October 31st Full Moon = 15th November Water Temperature: 14-16 C

Murray Cod: Closed season

Yellow Belly: I had a look back at the fishing report from this time last year. The water temp was 23-25 degrees with the water level was 70%. The fishing reports have not been too bad considering the conditions. Some good fish are still being caught around the park foreshore, mainly bait fishing with small yabbies or worms. The yellows are also starting to hit trolled and cast lures with fish being caught down to 5 metres. Upstream around Narran Gullen Island and the Yass River arm are fishing well on bait & lure.

Redfin: There are a few redfin being caught amongst the yellow belly mainly on worms with the odd one taking a lure. No doubt once we do get some normal spring weather the fishing will fire up. Not a lot of shrimp about at the moment either.

Park News: We certainly got hammered with the rain & wind over the long weekend and school holidays. The dam once again reached 104 % following another 114mm of rain. A tree came down on power lines resulting in a park blackout for 12.5 hrs. Fires are still permitted in the park due to the continued wet and cool weather.

We have also been working on cottage 27. This used to be a rental, became a staff cottage, and will now be an executive rental. A lot of Christmas bookings have already been filled from the waiting list. The cottage will be available from early November and can be booked online also. C27 has 2 bedrooms, sleeps 5, Queen bed, double bed with a single bed above.

The 42nd Burrinjuck Convention will again be held over the 5th & 6th of November details from www.canberrafishos.com/events/burrunjuck-convention
