Water level 11/10/17: 58.9 %
Current inflow: 1151 ML per day.
Water level 27/09/17: 61.7%
Water visibility: 2m

Forecast Weather: 10-20mm of rain is forecast for mid-week. Weekend temps to reach 25 degrees C. Easterly winds up to 14 kmh.

New Moon = Oct 20th Full Moon = Nov 4th Water Temperature: 16.5-19.5 deg C

Murray Cod: Closed season

Yellow belly: The reports over the past 2 weeks have varied hugely. Dropping water levels spurred things on for a couple of days as has the changing barometer. The water has warmed in the main basin with temps close to 18 deg C at the Wee Jasper end and reaching close to 20 deg C further up the Goodradigbee. The temps will be similar in the Yass River and Good Hope end of the Bidgee River. I have been hearing some good reports from the bait fisherman out of the Yass River. Worms have been doing the job as bait as long as they are worked through the water column if fishing on the timber as the fish are holding at varying depths around the dam. Some good fish have been taken from the park foreshore particularly in the evenings fishing till after dark. Plenty of fish above 50 cm.

Redfin: It won’t be long, with the rising water temps, before we start to see big numbers being caught once again. Redfin have remained a constant catch over the cooler months with a few bigger specimens (over 30cm) being caught.

Trout: None this week however it may be worth trolling a few smaller trout lures out in the deep during low light periods. I had a report of a school of rainbows at Hatchery Point in the shallows this past week, Sounds promising.

Park News: Fires are still permitted this weekend after we had a nice drop of rain over the past week. More rain is forecast midweek. This weekend may be the last chance for a campfire at Burrinjuck. The weather is looking great so bring the kids for a camp and some campfire cooking.

Upcoming Events: The Canberra Fisherman’s Club, 43rd ANSA Convention. Staged at the park on the 3rd, 4th,5th November 2017.
This is a catered event. More information at //
