Weekly Report 29 Feb 12

Post by Brad » Wed Feb 29, 2012 2:21 pm

Well the weather is on the improve (about time) and the barometer is rising so looks like it could be a great weekend on the water. With the water still looking like a chocolate milkshake the best spots for the weekend will be close to the pin bar on the incoming tide. The fish are around but you will just have to work a bit harder. Few good fish taken following the scum line on the incoming tide with the bread and butter species of flatties and a few size bream taken on pillies. Whiting are on the chew with freshly pumped yabbies, the best spots for these are Northern tip of Sth Straddie & Tipplers passage. Smaller brim and flatties were common around Kalinga bank and the north east tip of Crusoe Island. With all the rain in the past week the crabs should be going off, There were a few heavy pots sighted being dragged in around fisherman's channel so good luck.

Lets hope the good weather sticks around for the weekend, Safe boating and happy fishing! Hoo Roo Regards HP
