Starting in the river, flathead numbers are growing as we enter the breeding season, and Fingal Strait and the piggery have been the hot locations.
Luderick are still chomping weed baits and occasionally lures around the mouth and walk ways, as well as the blue hole and Boyds Bay bridge.
Tumbulgum and Barneys Point bridges have been producing their usual share of school jewies, with better specimens being taken from around the mouth.
Kingfish and tailor have been cruising around in vicious packs, terrorising bait at any opportunity around the mouth of the river. A wide variety of lures and baits will bring these speedsters undone, but try to match the hatch.

Outside anglers have been picking up good-sized kingies at 9-mile on live baits and lures, and jewies around Fidos, with a few chunky snapper thrown in for good meaure.

The beaches are producing the goods, with tailor dominating catches from around Fingal Headland and Kingscliff South Wall. Hastings Point has also been producing good bags of tailor.
