Report 12/5/16

Post by Nicole Penfold » Fri May 13, 2016 5:08 pm

This week has seen excellent weather and good water conditions, with fishing still a good way to get yourself a feed. Craig Butcher has landed himself some very nice red’s by laying down a burley trail and floating unweighted baits.

The offshore bite is still on for those who travel out to the deeper water hunting the gem fish and blue eye cod, with anglers having luck around Browns Mountain.

Harbour and Pittwater are still firing with an abundant amount of kings searching out a live squid or yakka. Beach fishing has also been reaping some rewards with early morning whiting, bream and salmon, and in the evening with salmon, tailor, whalers and the odd jewfish being caught.

Squid seem to have turned up in good numbers also on all the headlands and inside the harbour, so a good time to get some calamari or stock up on some excellent bait.

Good luck to all and stay safe.
