The fishing has slowed a bit this week but with our rising seas we should see a good stir up and a decent rise in feeding activity.

Kingfish on the offshore reefs are still giving anglers a bit of a headache trying to stop them due to some of the oversized models currently getting around, top water popper lures and whole squid baits are enticing these fish to bite. Oceanhunter Sportsfishing have been solid in the king department this week, client Lin Yidhuo caught a good king out at the Peak using live bait.

The deep drop electric brigade are having a fair amount of success on the big bottom feeders out wide, 500meters of water is a long way down with some terrific Hapuka still being caught.

With the conditions this weekend looking wet, wild & windy Sneakyfisho are having A monster fishing tackle clearout sale on Sat morning at ManlyVale.

The harbour is still showing good size kings on patrol looking for an easy meal of squid or even a live yakka, try spots like Quakers Hat Bay or Seaforth bluff, as the water cools you may be required to go down in leader size to get a better bite.
