Report 29/9/16

As the Spring transition moves in and the weather warms up some good fish are being caught in our estuaries, Sydney Harbour, Pittwater and Narrabeen Lake have all had good reports this week. West of the spit bridge some good kingfish are being encountered by fisho’s casting for salmon, in & around Northbridge & Sugarloaf Bay & some decent fish are being caught.

Pittwater has been hot on the kings this week. Chad Flemming had a busy morning session on the kings using jigs and live baits, while Daniel Crusoe trolled squid from the kayak in the Palm Beach moorings landing three fish to 79cm.

Narrabeen Lake has the flathead awakening from their winter slumber and they seem pretty hungry at the moment taking baits and lures right around the clock. Staff member Ben Petinsky landed some good sized fish using soft plastics during a late evening session this week, slow rolling smaller plastics was the key to getting more bites.

The beaches have a few sharks working beyond the breakers at night with some whalers being caught with salmon, tailor & bream also present. Dee Why, Curl Curl, Mona Vale & Manly beaches have all worked for anglers this week. Tight lines & have a safe & fishy long weekend.
