Lakes Entrance
The town jetties for Trevally on pilchards and blue bait. Shallow areas around Barrier Landing for Whiting. Offshore is producing Snapper up to 5 Kg. Gummies around 6’ and Flathead closer to the beach on pilchard and squid.

Lake Tyers
Flathead are cruising in deep water around 3-5 meters taking prawn and soft plastics. Bream are in the lake system and will be down in deep water. Late evening fishing for best results.

Mitchell River
The river mouth for Bream using prawn and soft plastics. Eagle Point Bay for Tailor on lures.

Tambo River
From Reynolds Road and down to the river mouth are the best spots for Bream using live shrimp.

Nicholson
Bream are at the Swimming Hole and down to the river mouth on live shrimp. Best time is around evening. Fish will be in deeper water during the day.

Metung
For boaties Bancroft Bay has Tailor, Bream and Trevally on lures, live shrimp, worm and prawn. The town jetties and boardwalk are also worth a try.

Paynesville
Prawn and Flounder are about. Ocean Grove is good for Tailor, Flathead and Gummies. Best bait being pilchard and squid. Eagle Point Bay and Newlands Arm for Tailor.

Holland’s Landing
With temperatures rising most fish will be going for deep cool waters and best results will be late afternoon and early evening. Try the Strait, Wood Pile and Hollands Landing for Bream and Flathead on worm and prawn.

Marlo
The Butter Factory for Bream using frozen prawn. All the rivers are fishing well. Mullet and Perch are about French’s Narrows, Flathead and Prawns in the shallows. The surf for Salmon. Offshore Kingfish, Flathead and Gummies.

Bemm River
The entrance is still closed. Bait prawns are in the channel. Bream and Tailor are in the lake chasing surface lures.

Tamboon Inlet
Mud Point to Pelican Point for Flathead in the shallows using lures, prawn and soft plastics. Bream are also at Pelican Point and from Old Man Point to Tamboon South. Best bait worm and prawn.

Mallacoota
Prawn are still active in the lake. Bream are up at Gypsy Point and to the river upstream, taking yabbies and prawn. Flathead in the Bottom Lake on plastics and lures. Salmon and Tailor in the lake and on the surf.

Omeo High Country
Best spot for Trout is the Mitta Mitta River using hoppers and fly patterns.
