Lakes Entrance
Surf beaches for salmon on pilchards and poppers. Town jetties are best for mullet, trevally and the odd tailor – best bait worm and blue. Offshore has been a bit windy so closer to the beach best for flathead and gummy shark on pilchard and squid.

Lake Tyers
From Black Snake Bite and heading up to Nowa - Nowa for bream taking prawn and lures. Flathead in shallow water on plastics. Also try Long Point and Blackfellows Arm for bream and flatties.

Mitchell River
Perch – Wyung Bridge is best spot using soft plastics and green coloured hard bodies lures. Shadoof Lodge to the cut for bream, taking spider crab soft plastics and worm.

Tambo River
Best spots for bream and flatties are the Three Gums and down to the Snags drifting a live prawn or spider crab.

Nicholson
Between the two bridges for bream and perch with live prawn under a float. Also try soft plastics and hard body lures.

Metung
The Boardwalk, town jetties and Shaving Point are best for bream and the shallow waters for flathead. Best baits are blue and prawn.

Paynesville
Town jetties for bream on shrimp. Whiting are in the channel on worm. Tailor are in Lake King chasing lures.

Holland’s Landing
Seacombe Landing, Woodpile through to Bull Bay and Toms Creek – bream, flathead and mullet on white bait, prawn and worm. Give night time a try for bream.

Marlo
For those hardy people surf beach is still producing salmon on pilchards and poppers and lures. In the rivers and lake for bream and mullet on worm and prawn.

Bemm River
Try lake system for perch, bream and flathead. Best results achieved using prawn, soft plastics and lures.

Tamboon Inlet
The river mouth and Tamboon Inlet for bream and the shallow banks for flathead and the odd pinkie. Best results using prawn, cut crab and plastics.

Mallacoota
Surf for salmon, bottom lake for bream, flathead and snapper taking white bait. Top lake for tailor with best result trawling with lures.

Omeo High Country
Top end of the Mitta – Mitta river which is best for trout on lures, spinners and soft plastics.
