Lakes Entrance
Surf beaches have salmon on pilchard, poppers and metal lures. Mullet are still about at the town jetties. The Barrier, around the islands and Reeve Channel for bream, mullet, flathead, and whiting. Off shore for snapper, morwong and leather jacket. Closer to the beach for gummies and flathead on pilchards and squid.

Lake Tyers
Flathead are still in the lake system taking soft plastics and prawn. Try early morning or late evening. Bream are about but a bit harder to find. The wind is strong on the lake at the moment.

Mitchell River
The Slit Jetties and the river mouth for bream taking vibes, hard bodied lures and soft plastic. Shadoof Lodge and the Highway Bridge for bream taking prawn in the evening at Lindenow for bass on surface lures.

Tambo River
The snag’s and the river mouth are the beast spots for bream. Bait of choice being worm and local prawn.

Nicholson
From the Little Cliff’s and down to Thumb Point for bream on prawn as preferred bait.

Metung
Nungurner Jetty and surrounding area for flathead and king george whiting on pipi and local prawn. Try the flats and weed patches using worm.

Paynesville
Best spot for bream and flathead at the moment is Duck Arm in the afternoon and evening. Soft plastics and prawn are the preferred bait.

Holland’s Landing
At the entrance of the strait and Plover Point for bream, mullet and flathead on worm which you can pump on the sand flats. The southern shore of Lake Victoria at Loch Sport along the rock groynes for bream, mullet and tailor

Marlo
Off shore for flathead and gummies on usual baits. Surf beach still producing salmon on pilchard, poppers and lures. Fish are still about but you will need to hunt around for them. Best results using prawn.

Bemm River
Bream are in the lake on hard bodies and soft plastics. There is also some tailor. In the channel for flathead on soft plastics. Surf for salmon taking metal lures, blue bait and poppers.

Tamboon Inlet
Pelican Point, Old Man Point and down to Shallow Lagoon for flathead on prawn and soft plastics. For bream try the camp site.

Mallacoota
Flathead off shore. Top and Bottom Lakes for flathead and bream. Fisheries Jetty for flathead and tailor taking pilchards. Surf for salmon on blue bait and poppers.

Omeo High Country
Mitta Mitta and most of the rivers are all worth a look for trout. Hoppers, lures, spinners and soft plastics for best results.
