Lakes Entrance
Kingfish are chasing bait fish at the Footbridge and Myers Street jetties. Town jetties are producing Mullet and Trevally on blue bait and local prawn. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for “Pinkies” and Flathead. Closer to the beach for “Gummies” on pilchard and squid.

Lake Tyers
Best spots for Flathead is from Trident Arm to the top end of the Nowa Nowa Arm. Best baits are soft plastics and prawn. The best spot for Bream is in the power lines area and bait of choice being prawn.

Mitchell River
Eagle Point, The Bluff and “two bells” for Bream using spider crab, prawn and sand worm as preferred bait.

Tambo River
From Punt-house Point to the first gate for good sized Bream. Early morning being the best time using local prawn.

Nicholson
Bream seem to be down in the deeper water, try deep diving lures. The swimming hole and pear tree also have Bream biting on local prawn. Mullet and Garfish are about taking worm.

Metung
Sheltered areas around Chinaman’s Creek and Box’s Creek for Bream, Mullet and Perch. At night or early morning for Bream taking crab and prawn. Mullet on worm and lures for Perch.

Paynesville
Early morning in The Straits is best for good sized Bream biting on bread. The front beach for King George Whiting with best results using worm and pipi. There are still local prawns about.

Holland’s Landing
Storm Point, Loch Sport town jetties and Pelican Bay for Bream, Mullet and Garfish. Best bait being pumped sand worm. Also try Blonde Bay and Tom’s Creek.

Marlo
The Brodribb and Snowy Rivers as well as Lake Curlip for Bream biting on frozen prawn. Surf beach for Salmon on pilchard and poppers. Offshore, weather permitting, for Kingfish, ”Gummies” and Flathead taking pilchard and squid.

Bemm River
Bream are still about the system taking local prawns and soft plastics. Surf beach still producing Salmon with best results using pilchard, popper and metal lures.

Tamboon Inlet
Fisherman’s Landing and Peach Tree Creek camping ground for Bream. Also give Pelican Point and Egan’s Bank a go, using worm and prawn. Surf beach for Salmon on lures, pilchard and popper.

Mallacoota
Surf beach for Salmon. Bottom Lake for Flathead and Bream on prawn and yabbies. Fisheries jetty has Trevally, Tailor and Flathead taking blue bait. Top Lake for Bream on prawn. Prawns are also in the lake system.

Omeo High Country
No rain as yet to freshen up the rivers but there are some fish about. Best bait being worm, hoppers, lures and soft plastics.
