Lakes Entrance
Eastern Beach for Salmon taking blue bait and poppers. Footbridge for “Pinkies, biting on pilchard. Bullock Island and Kalimna Jetty on incoming tide for Salmon and Tailor chasing lures. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for “Pinkies”, Leather Jacket and Morwong. Water Temperature is 20 degrees. Swordfish are about.

Lake Tyers
For Bream and Flathead, best spots being from the islands and up towards Nowa Nowa. Good Tailor are in the main lake. Bream are in deeper water taking all baits presented to them. Garfish at Fishermans Landing jetty biting on worm.

Mitchell River
Bream are around the back water, Eastwood Bridge and from Eagle Point to the cut. Best bait being spider crab, prawn and worm. Butter factory for Garfish on worm.

Tambo River
River mouth is best for Bream also try the boat ramp as well. Flathead from 50-60cm are at the cliffs taking prawn.

Nicholson
River mouth for Bream and Garfish. Best baits being worm and prawn.

Metung
Try the town jetties for Bream. Best results using vibes and fresh or frozen prawn. Chinaman’s and Boxes Creek are both worth a look.

Paynesville
The Mitchell River mouth for good size Tailor chasing lures. Town jetties for Bream, best bait being bread. Local prawns are still about.

Holland’s Landing
Surf beach for Bream taking prawn. Hollands Landing, the wood pile and The Straits are also producing Bream on prawn.

Marlo
The Snowy River from Orbost to Marlo, including the Brodribb River for Bream taking frozen prawn. Salmon and Tailor are in the system chasing metal lures. Surf for Salmon and Tailor. Offshore for Kingfish, “Pinkies”, “Gummies” and Flathead.

Bemm River
The lake is still producing Bream on local prawn, soft plastics and vibes. Flathead in the shallows taking soft plastics and local prawn. Surf for Salmon and Tailor on pilchard, poppers and metal lures.

Tamboon Inlet
River mouth for Bream and Flathead taking worm and prawn. Surf for Salmon and Tailor around the 3kg mark taking pilchard, popper and metal lures.

Mallacoota
Offshore for Snapper and “Gummies”. Flathead in the Button Lake using drifting lures. Bream are up in the Top Lake biting on yabbies. Fisheries jetty for Tailor on prawn and lures. Garfish are also about taking sand fleas.

Omeo High Country
Good size Trout are in the Mitta Mitta taking hoppers and worm.
