Lakes Entrance
Bullock Island on the incoming tide for salmon chasing white bait. The footbridge and town jetties for trevally, king george and silver whiting. Best bait being pippies. Offshore at the six mile reef for pinkies, snapper, nanagai, blue eyed trevally and morwong on pilchard and squid.

Lake Tyers
Flathead, tailor and bream are taking all baits presented. Best spots are Burnt Bridge, Long Point and from the islands up to Nowa Nowa.

Mitchell River
From Eagle Point to Grassy Banks are the best spots for bream, bait of choice is shrimp, spider crab and worm. Tailor are cruising the river smashing silver lures.

Tambo River
Bennett’s Brook, Rough Road and up to Sandy’s Bluff for bream. Best bait being sandworm and prawn.

From the highway bridge and up to the poplars for bream. Try shrimp, spider crab and worm around dusk.

From Shaving Point in shallow water following the shore line and heading down towards the Golf Course for flathead. Best bait being soft plastics.

Town jetties and in Mc Millan Strait is producing mullet with best results using sand worm.

Holland’s Landing
Seacombe Landing, Wood Pile and Bull Bay for bream. Tom’s Creek with spider crab toward dusk for bigger bream. Blonde Bay is also worth a look for bream, flathead, mullet and luderick.

Lake Curlip is worth a look for bream and perch on an incoming high tide. Lake Corringle for black bream. The Marlo jetty and boat ramp heading into Frenches Narrows for bream and flathead. The surf for salmon and tailor.

Bemm River
The surf beach for salmon using metal lures. The lake is the best spot for bream using prawn, plastics and vibes.

Tamboon Inlet
Best spot for bream is in the river with prawn and sandworm as preferred bait. The lake is a bit quiet at the time being.

Surf beach for salmon on pilchards and poppers. The Bottom Lake has flathead and bream taking prawn. Fisheries Jetty has tailor and trevally on pilchard. Top Lake for flathead with a drifting bait of prawn or pilchards.
