Lakes Entrance
The footbridge is the place to go for king george and silver whiting on worm and pippies. Surf beaches for salmon on pilchards, poppers and lures. Off shore at Six Mile Reef for pinkies, snapper, nanagi, blue eyed trevally and morwong. Best bait being pilchard and squid.

Lake Tyers
Bream are out and about at Long Point, Mill Point and around Mud Island to Cameron’s Arm, in the deeper water for best results. Bait of choice prawn and blue bait. Try the surf beach for salmon on pilchards and poppers.

Mitchell River
The Bluff and towards Shadoof Lodge for bream taking spider crab and worm. The backwater for mullet, perch, bream, and trevally. Best using worm and peeled prawn.

PTambo River
At the first gate and down to the three guns is the best spot for bream on sandworm and worm.

Bream are to be found from the highway bridge and up to the straight six with sandworm as preferred bait.

The boardwalk and Hotel Jetty are best spots for bream and luderick. Best results using prawn, weed and a float.

The strait and Yacht Club Jetty are producing mullet with worm as preferred bait. The surf beach is good for salmon on pilchards and poppers.

Holland’s Landing
Mc Lennan Strait, Wood Pile and Hollands Landing are best for bream and flathead on worm and prawn.

Off shore for a mixed bag with pilchard and squid as preferred bait. Lake Corringle for bream. Luderick around the rock groynes. Estuary perch are to be found in open water on lures and prawn. Try the surf for salmon.

Bemm River
The entrance is open. Bream are about taking zman grubs, worm and local prawn. Some tailor is also cruising about. The surf beach for salmon.

Tamboon Inlet
River mouth and up to Furnell Landing for bream taking prawn and worm. Tailor are cruising about taking lures and most baits. Surf beach for salmon.

Surf beaches for salmon on pilchards and poppers. Bottom Lake for bream and the odd flathead. Best bait prawn and yabbies. Top Lake is best for flathead taking prawn and lures.
