Lakes Entrance
The footbridge for mackerel, trevally and bream. The Post Office Jetty is also worth a try. Six Mile Reef has pinkies and morwong with gummies closer to shore. Best baits are squid and pilchard.

Lake Tyers
Burnt Bridge and from Camerons Arm to Devils Hole for bream using hard bodied lures. Long Point and Blackfellows Arm for bream on worm and prawn.

Mitchell River
From The Two Bells and through to Shadoof Lodge for bream to 40cm. Best results using worm, prawn and soft plastics.

Tambo River
Bream are about from The Cliffs and down to Whelans using prawn and worm.

Nicholson
Between the two bridges and heading up towards The Cliffs for bream, taking worm, prawn and plastics.

Metung
The best spots for bream are Chinaman’s Creek and Box’s Creek with prawn and worm as the best bait.

Paynesville
Seals and dolphins are about, but bream are also about using very light gear with prawn and worm. The Strait is the best spot.

Holland’s Landing
The Strait and into Lake Victoria, Tom’s Creek and Blonde Bay are best for bream on prawn and worm. The surf beach for gummies on pilchard and squid around evening.

Marlo
Mullet are still active around Marlo. The surf for salmon and gummies on pilchard and squid. Offshore for a mixed bag.

Bemm River
The river and lake have bream on worm. Tailor are also cruising chasing plastics metal lures. The surf for salmon up to 2kg on pilchard and poppers.

Tamboon Inlet
Lake Furnell and at the river mouth for bream, best results using worm. Old Man Corner has trevally taking pilchard. The surf for salmon around 2kg on pilchard and poppers.

Mallacoota
All surf beaches on a high tide for salmon using pilchard and poppers. Both lakes are a bit quiet. The two rivers, Genoa and Wallagaraugh are best for flathead, perch and bream, using lures, yabbies and prawn.

Omeo High Country
The best spot for trout is the Mitta Mitta with earth worm as preferred bait.
