Lakes Entrance
Trevally can be found around the Myer Street jetty taking blue bait. Rigby and Fraser Islands and the south channel for King George Whiting taking worm and pipi. Offshore at Six Mile Reef and the pipeline for “Pinkies” and Flathead. Closer to the beach for “Gummies”. Try surf beaches for Salmon.

Lake Tyers
The whole lake system is producing Bream, Flathead and “Pinkies”. Best results using prawn, lures, pilchards and yabbies.

Mitchell River
The Butter Factory for Garfish taking worm. At “the cut” and down to the river mouth is best for Bream with prawn, spider crab and worm as preferred bait.

Tambo River
From the Punt-house Point to Three Gums down to the river mouth and to “the snags” are the best spots for Bream with prawn as preferred bait.

Nicholson
From the highway bridge to the cliffs is worth a look for Bream. The Strait Six and up to the junction is also good for Bream and the ‘odd’ Perch. Try prawn and soft plastics.

Metung
Chinaman’s Creek around dusk for Bream taking spider crab and live prawn. Box’s Creek is worth a look as well. Nungurner jetty area for Flathead and Whiting. Best baits being local prawn and pipi.

Paynesville
Town jetties and The Strait for Bream taking prawn. Whiting are bit sparse but still around taking pipi. The “odd” King Fish has been caught on soft plastics.

Holland’s Landing
Best spot for Bream is around Plover Point, the McLennan Strait and through to Bull Bay taking soft plastics and prawn.

Marlo
Frenchs Narrows and the sand flats for Flathead on lures and soft plastics. Bream are about taking black crab and worm. Some Trevally are about. Surf for Salmon taking pilchard and popper. Offshore for a mixed bag. A mixture of sharks are being caught from the beach.

Bemm River
The Entrance is open. Bream in the lake taking local prawn and soft plastics. Trolling with lures and poppers for Tailor.

Tamboon Inlet
Pelican Point for Bream taking prawn. Mud Point for Flathead taking soft plastics ad live bait.

Mallacoota
Top and Bottom Lakes for Bream and Flathead taking lures. Harrisons Channel for Luderick taking weed. Give the main wharf and try. Surf for Salmon on pilchard ad popper.

Omeo High Country
The Mitta Mitta is the best spot for Trout using spinners for best results.
