Lakes Entrance
Town jetties for Trevally biting on blue bait. Kingfish are cruising up and down the Cunningham, Arm taking soft plastics. King George Whiting are about Fraser and Flannangan Islands taking worm. Offshore at Six Mile Reef and the Pipeline for Flathead and “Pinkies” biting on squid and pilchard. “Gummies” are closer to the shore taking squid and pilchard also.

Lake Tyers
Burnt Bridge for Bream on prawn and worm. Give Mill Point a look. “Pinkies: are in the bottom lake (towards Tavern) using blue bait and lures for best results. Flathead are cruising around the glass house on lures and soft plastics.

Mitchell River
Garfish are still to be had on floating worm. Bream are about the Bluff, “the cut” and past the two bells. Best bait being soft plastic crab, spider crab and worm.

Tambo River
At the rough road heading towards the river mouth and the “the snags” area are the best spots for good sized bream with local prawn as preferred bait. Cut crab and hard body lures are also good.

Nicholson
Best spot now for Bream being the highway and the railway bridges. Best results are with a float with the local prawn or also try just letting the local prawn drift.

Metung
The board walk for Flathead taking soft plastics. Off “the point” and the jetties for Whiting with pipi as best bait.

Paynesville
Tailor are in The Strait and towards Duck Arm with best results using metal lures. Bream are around town jetties and structure with prawn as best bait.

Holland’s Landing
The wood pile and Holland’s Landing are worth a look for Bream. Griffin Point for Flathead. Tom’s Creek is worth a look for Bream. Best baits being cut pilchard, white bait and prawn.

Marlo
Both Lakes Curlip and Corringle for Bream on hard body lure and frozen prawn. Some Mullet are about taking worm. Surf for Salmon on pilchard and poppers. Offshore for a mixed bag.

Bemm River
The Entrance is still open. Bream in the lake taking worm, soft plastics and prawn. Salmon, Tailor and Trevally are in the channel biting on metal lures and soft plastics. Sur for Salmon taking pilchard and blue poppers.

Tamboon Inlet
Throughout the lake for “Pinkies”, Trevally taking blue bait. Pelican Point for Flathead on blue bait and lures. From river mouth to Furnell Landing for Bream on prawn.

Mallacoota
Surf for Salmon on pilchard and popper. Harrison’s Channel for Luderick, Bream and Flathead taking weed and pilchard. Top Lake for Bream and Flathead on metal lures and soft plastics.

Omeo High Country
Trout are slow moving about. The Mitta Mitta and Anglers Rest are worth a look. Try all baits - soft plastics, lures and worm.
