Lakes Entrance
Myer Street jetty is fishing well with Trevally, Mackerel taking blue bait and prawn. Floating Dragon jetty has Silver Whiting taking pipi. Surf for Salmon.
Offshore at Six Mile Reef for good sized “Pinkies” biting on pilchard and squid. Two Swordfish were landed at 79kg and 101kg respectively at Bass Canyon.

Lake Tyers
The “Odd” Bream are about. Flathead are also in the system around the Glass House. Soft plastics, worm and prawn are providing the best results. Also try drifting baits and light weight minnow.

Mitchell River
Bream are about at Shadoof Lodge and heading towards “the bluff” at Eagle Point and continuing to “the cut” and “two bells”. Best results on worm, prawn, soft plastics and vibes. Perch are at the highway bridge around evening using soft plastics and drifting prawn for best results.

Tambo River
Best spots for Bream are from the boat ramp, rough road and up to Whelan’s using cut crab and local prawn. Give hard body lures a go around structures.

Nicholson
Between the two bridges is producing Bream. Also try “the reeds” and heading up to the bar bodies with drifting local prawn and soft plastics.

Metung
The boardwalk is best for Flathead on soft plastics and drifting prawn. Bancroft Bay and around the “The Point” for a mixed bag. There are some Whiting about the town jetties taking pipi.

Paynesville
Bream are still around town jetties and in The Strait taking drifting prawn. Some Tailor are about chasing metal lures. Prawn are to be had at night.

Holland’s Landing
Boat ramp and town wharfs for Bream. Best baits being shrimp and peeled prawn, either drifting or using very small sinkers for best results.

Marlo
Both lakes have Bream taking frozen prawn and hard body lures. Prawns are still about. Frenches Narrow’s for Bream and Flathead. Surf for Salmon on pilchard and poppers. Offshore for mixed bag. The entrance will be opened on the 7th May, 2019.

Bemm River
The Entrance is still open. Tailor are cruising the channel taking metal lures and plastics. In the lake for Bream biting on worm and prawn. Surf for Salmon taking pilchard and poppers.

Tamboon Inlet
Bream are to be found in upper reaches of the river. Best results using prawn. Flathead are at Sowest Bay taking blue bait and pilchard. Surf for Salmon on blue poppers and blue bait.

Mallacoota
Beach is producing Salmon using pilchard and poppers. In Harrison’s Channel you will find Bream taking shrimp and Luderick taking weed. The Top Lake has Bream taking yabbies and Flathead taking lures, also give soft plastics a go.

Omeo High Country
Best spot for Trout is the Mitta Mitta River. Best results using lures, soft plastics and fly patterns.
