Lakes Entrance
Fishing has been productive with Tailor, Trevally, Flathead and King George Whiting being caught in Hopetoun and Reeve Channels, as far as Nyerimilang. Pilchard and prawn accounted for most fish.
Plenty of Salmon are striking silver lures at Eastern Beach. Pilchard is also good.

Lake Tyers
Schools of Tailor are cruising between the channel markers to No.2 Boat Ramp. Flathead and Bream are throughout the Lake and around Trident Arm. Soft Plastics and peeled prawn are taking fish.

Mitchell River
Estuary Perch and Bream to 40cm are biting around the Highway Bridge after sunset. Hard bodied lures and prawn are best bait. Bream are also around the mouth of the river

Tambo River
Good size Bream are being landed between Three Gums and the mouth, using peeled prawn.

Nicholson
Bream are mainly upstream as far as The Poplars. Prawn and sandworm are catching fish.

Metung
Some Bream are active around the Boardwalk, with King George Whiting still at Shaving point. Pippi and sandworm are taking most fish.

Paynesville
Anglers are “bagging out” on Flathead at Bunga Arm, using soft plastics and sandworm. The wharf is still good for Bream on sandworm and peeled prawn.

Holland’s Landing
Large Flathead and Bream are around Griffin Point, with sandworm and whitebait picking up fish.

Marlo
Some extra water in the Snowy River has pushed fish toward the Islands. Flathead are in the sand flats near the entrance. Local prawn, which are “running” is very productive. Tailor and Salmon are abundant in the estuary. Soft and hard bodied lures are taking fish. The surf is good for Flathead and Salmon, on squid and metal lures.

Bemm River
The entrance is still open, with Bream, Tailor and Trevally in the channel, biting on local prawn and lures. The lake has Flathead chasing soft plastics. Pilchard and poppers are picking up Salmon off the surf.

Tamboon Inlet
The campsite area has Bream and Flathead. Try peeled prawn and soft plastics.

Mallacoota
Both lakes are fishing well. Mainly Bream with the “odd” Flathead have been taken, using sandworm, soft plastics and prawn.
Tailor are in The Narrows. Trolled lures are resulting in catches. The Wharf has Luderick and Flounder.

Omeo High Country
The Gibbo River has Rainbow Trout biting on “hoppers” and spinners.
