Lakes Entrance
Trevally and mullet are taking small pieces of pilchards. Best spots are Post Office Jetty, Ferryman’s Jetty. Surf beaches, Bunga beach and Eastern beach for Salmon on poppers and pilchards . Offshore for Pinkies, Morwong and Nanagi, preferred bait pilchards and squid.

Lake Tyers
Bream are about at Devil’s hole, fisherman’s landing and main lake, best bait worm and shrimp, main lake for Flatties 67 – 85cm on blue bait, Tailor 50 – 60cm taking lures around No 2 Boat Ramp. Yellow eyed mullet on the surf.

Mitchell River
Shadoof Lodge, the cut and two bells for Bream. Mullet around the highway bridge on worm.

Tambo River
From sardine flats, clues bluff and down to Reynolds Rd for Bream taking live shrimp.

The cliffs, Tyers and down to the highway bridge for Bream on prawn and Shrimp

Town Jetties, Shaving Point and Boardwalk for Bream, taking vibes, prawn, spider crab and shrimp. Bancroft Bay for tailor on lures

Straits are still the best spot Bream, try lures and shrimp. Town Jetties for Mullet on worm, also Newlands Arm is worth a try.

Holland’s Landing
Woodpile, Tom’s Creek and Blonde Bay are best for Bream, try small lazer lures, raiders and wobblers. Lake Victoria is also worth a look.

Luderick around the Rock Groynes on worm, Bream, Mullet and Perch around taking worm and prawn. In the channel for Salmon and Tailor. Surf producing Salmon and Tailor on pilchards and poppers. Offshore for Flatties and Gummies taking pilchards and squid.

Bemm River
Bream are to be found in the river and are cruising the Lakes as well, best results using worm and local prawn, the entrance is still open.

Tamboon Inlet
Aeroplane Rocks and Peters Rock for Luderick. Bream are about at Pelican Point. Mud Point in the shallows for Flatties, best results using either live or dead baits.

Luderick are about the Main Wharf and Fisheries Wharf using weed. Bottom Lake and Harrisons Channel for Bream with yabbies as preferred bait, Gypsy Point also worth a try. Salmon on incoming tide are being caught trolling with silver lures

Omeo High Country
All rivers are still running high with rain water, but there are still fish about. Watch the change in water colour and use baits or lures to suit, mainly floating worm and lures.
