Lakes Entrance
The Footbridge and the Myer Street Jetty for Trevally and Salmon, the best baits are whitebait and pilchard. The surf beaches for Salmon on pilchard and poppers. Offshore for Snapper and Gummies, best results using squid and pilchard.

Lake Tyers
Good size Flathead are at Blackfellows Arm, Mill Point and Fishermans Landing on plastics. Good size Bream are at Trident Arm and up to Devils Hole on prawn. Good Luderick at No.2 Boat Ramp and around to No.1 Boat Ramp, taking weed on the outgoing tide.

Mitchell River
The Highway Bridge for Perch taking hard bodied lures. The Backwater for Bream on spider crab and prawn. The river mouth on the flats also has Bream on hard bodied lures and soft plastics.

Tambo River
From the Highway Bridge and up to The Cliffs for Bream taking live prawn and shrimp. At the river mouth for good quality fish using the same bait.

The river mouth and up to Pear Tree for Bream. At the Railway Bridge and up to the Straight Six for Bream on live shrimp and prawn.

Pinky Snapper and Whiting are around the Boardwalk with prawn as preferred bait. The town jetties for Mullet and Trevally, best baits worm, shrimp and prawn.

The Straits and at the town jetties for Mullet taking worm and small pieces of white bait. Surf beach for Gummies on squid. Offshore for good size Snapper on pilchard.

Holland’s Landing
Tom’s Creek, Blonde Bay and the mouth of the Straight for Bream, bait of choice being prawn, mussels and live shrimp.

Luderick are around the rock groynes. Plenty of Bream and Mullet throughout the river and lake system. Best baits are worm and prawn. The surf for Salmon and Tailor on pilchard and poppers. Two 10’ Bronze Whaler Sharks were landed on the surf beach.

Bemm River
Bob’s Bay, Pelican Point and the river mouth are spots to try for Bream, using pilchard and poppers.

Tamboon Inlet
Furnell Landing, Peach Tree Creek and the lake have Bream, Flathead and Tailor taking live shrimp, crab, lures and pilchard.

The Top Lake and rivers for Bream and Flathead. Best results using soft plastics and lures. The Main Wharf for Luderick on weed. Harrison Channel for Bream and the surf for Salmon on the outgoing tide with pilchard and poppers producing the best results.

Omeo High Country
The Livingstone is producing good Trout with the best results using flies. Anglers Rest and the Victoria are also worth a try.
