Lakes Entrance
Footbridge for Trevally taking pilchard. Town jetties for Yellow Eye Mullet and King George Whiting, best bait being sand worm and pilchard. Nungurner and the Barrier also producing 40cm Whiting on pippi, prawn and worm.
Offshore for “Pinkies”. “Gummies” closer to the beach on pilchard and squid. Surf beaches for Salmon on lures and blue bait.

Lake Tyers
Plenty of Flathead are on the bottom of the lake taking lures. Bream are a bit quiet, except from the islands and up to Nowa Nowa Arm, taking peeled prawn. Mullet around the entrance on incoming tide.

Mitchell River
Eagle Point and Picnic Point for Bream, taking prawn. Highway bridge and butter factory for Perch, best results being plastics and hard bodies lures.

Tambo River
32 – 36cm are at the lucerne paddock and up to the blue hole, best bait being sandworm. Also try from the boat ramp to river mouth on shrimp.

Nicholson
From the little cliffs and all the way to the river mouth for Bream. Best baits prawn and shrimp.

Metung
Town jetties to Shaving Point for Bream taking prawn. From Shaving Point and to Lake King jetty for Flathead, try soft plastics and prawn.

Paynesville
Trolling with silver lures in Lake King and Lake Victoria will produce good Tailor. Whiting are also being caught on grassy bank on pippi, worm and mussels. Surf quiet but an Estuary Perch was landed by local fishermen using a red popper and pilchard at Steamer’s Landing.

Holland’s Landing
Blond Bay for Bream and Mullet on worm and prawn. Wood pile and back to Seacombe Landing for Bream. Try shallows for Flathead taking plastics and prawn.

Marlo
Beaches for Salmon taking pilchards and poppers. Offshore for “Pinkies”, Flathead and “Gummies” taking pilchard and squid. The rivers and lake system is producing Luderick, Perch, Bream and Yellow Eyed Mullet. Best results using worm and prawn.

Bemm River
Plenty of bait size prawns in lake. Bream and Flathead are taking soft plastic, prawn and lures. The channel is producing Tailor taking lures.

Tamboon Inlet
Entrance is closed but plenty of Bream are in the system taking shrimp, prawn and worm. Flathead have gone a bit quiet.

Mallacoota
Surf producing plenty of Salmon taking pilchards and poppers. Luderick at Fisheries Wharf taking weed. Bottom Lake has Bream from the boat or bank. Harrison Channel for Tailor, Luderick and Perch taking lures.

Omeo High Country
Bundara River, Mitta Mitta also try the big river above Anglers Rest for trout with fly, worm and also use metal lures.
