Lakes Entrance
The town jetties for Trevally, Mullet and Mackerel, best bait is pilchard. The Nungurner Jetty and The Barrier for Whiting on pippies and worm. Offshore for Snapper, Pinkies and some Mako Shark. Flathead are also about. Best bait squid and pilchard.

Lake Tyers
Flathead are to be found in the shallow water areas throughout the Lake system. Best bait being plastics and peeled or unpeeled prawns. Schools of Pinkies and Tailor are taking prawn.

Mitchell River
Perch are at the Highway and Wyung Bridges. Bream are in the Backwater taking peeled prawn and vibes. The Two Bells also have Bream taking prawn. Bass are at Lindenow on podjo lures.

Tambo River
Plenty of small Bream are about, but some good size ones are to be had at Rough Road and The Three Gums. Best bait is local prawn.

Nicholson
Pear Tree and towards the entrance are the best spots for Bream on local prawn

Metung
Shaving Point has Whiting taking pippies and worm. Towards Chinaman’s Creek for Bream on fresh prawn.

Paynesville
Sperm Whale head has Bream taking prawn. The town jetties and Raymond Island have Bream using soft plastics and bait. Tailor are cruising Lake King and Newlands Arm, lures are the best bait. Mullet are at the mouth of the Mitchell River.

Holland’s Landing
For Bream, Hollands Landing is the best spot, using peeled prawn.

Marlo
Fishing at Marlo is still good, with plenty of fish to be had, Bream, Mullet and Luderick. The beaches for Salmon, Flathead in the shallow areas. Offshore for King Fish, Flathead, Snapper and Gummy Shark.

Bemm River
Flathead are in the shallow areas with the best results on live prawn. Bream are in the main lake taking lures and prawn. The surf for Salmon on pilchard and poppers.

Tamboon Inlet
The surf for good Salmon using pilchard and poppers. Flathead are cruising the shallow waters taking plastics and blue bait. Bream are at the river mouth and Egan’s Bank, best bait is prawn.

Mallacoota
King Fish and Flathead are being caught offshore. The surf for Salmon on pilchard and poppers. The Top Lake for Bream and Flathead on yabbies and prawn. Yellow Fin Bream are taking prawn near the entrance. Tailor are in the Lake trolling with lures.

Omeo High Country
Fishing Comp. held last week with all the Rivers fishing well for Trout. The best results were from using flies, worm and lures.
