Lakes Entrance
Town jetties are fishing well with Trevally and Mackerel being caught on pilchards. Fraser Island and Nungurner for Whiting, taking pippi and worm. Garfish are at the winery, taking worm.
Surf beach is quiet. Offshore for Pinkies, Snapper and Mako Shark with Flathead close to beach taking pilchard and squid. Striped Marlin have been sighted.

Lake Tyers
In the main lake and along shallow water for Flathead on plastics. Still some pinkies about. Tailor are cruising about taking prawn and lures. Bream are elusive and you need to work for them. Try prawn and worm.

Mitchell River
Bass are still at Lindenow on podjo lures. Perch at the highway and Wyung bridges. “Two bell” and the “the cut” for Bream on prawn.

Tambo River
The river mouth at early morning is the best spot for Bream. Preferred bait being fresh prawn.

The Bream are at the mouth of the river and the front of the caravan park. Best bait being local prawn.

Whiting are at Boole Pool and the “sand bank”, using worm and pippi. Some prawn are still to be found.

Town jetties for Mullett and Bream, with best results using worm and plastics. Lake King and Newlands Arm for Tailor using lures for best results.

Holland’s Landing
Griffin Point side or southern side for Flathead, Bream and Mullet. Best bait being whitebait, prawn, cut pilchard and worm. For Bream, try Tom’s Creek using lures and plastics.

From Orbost and through to Marlo for Bream, Mullet, Luderick and Flathead. The whole system is fishing really well. Beaches for Salmon on pilchard and popper.
Offshore for King Fish taking live squid, metal jigs and lures. Flathead and ”Gummies” are also about.

Bemm River
Flathead are to be found in the channel, using lures, prawn and plastics. Bream are in the lake taking prawn. Tailor and Trevally are also taking plastics.
Surf for Salmon and Trevally on poppers and pilchard.

Tamboon Inlet
The river mouth for Bream and Flathead taking prawn. In the lake for Tailor, trolling with silver lures for best results.
Surf for Salmon, early morning being the best time on pilchard and poppers.

Offshore for King Fish with best results using bait and lures. Marlin at Gabo Island. Surf for Salmon taking bluebait. Bream are up in the Top Lake biting on yabbies. Yellow Fin Whiting at “eight foot banks” using soft plastics. Luderick at Fisheries Wharf early morning.

Omeo High Country
Cobungra, Gibbo, Mitta Mitta and Anglers Rest are producing trout. Best results using floating baits, spinner and lures.
