Lakes Entrance
Bullock Island for Salmon taking white bait and lures, best time early morning and on incoming tides. North Arm for Garfish at the moment taking worm. Offshore for Barracouta, Gummies, School Shark and Swordfish, best baits pilchard and squid.

Lake Tyers
From the Water Wheel Tavern and heading upstream for a mixed bag, Luderick, Pinkies, Bream and Flatties, best results using hard body lures, plastics and blue bait. Flatties in the early morning and late afternoon in the shallows. Some large Tailor up to 65cm are about taking live baits.

Mitchell River
The river flats and towards the river mouth for Bream, best baits spider crab, local prawn and worm. The highway bridge for Perch on lures and plastics.

Tambo River
From the boat ramp and down to river mouth for Bream taking prawn. Flatties at the Lucerne Paddock and up to the Cliffs with worm and prawn the preferred baits.

Nicholson
Fishing Competition was held last weekend with plenty of Bream throughout the river taking prawn. Flatties at Straight six with worm and prawn as preferred bait.

Metung
Plenty of good size Bream being caught on town jetties and in front of the Metung Hotel, best bait prawn. Mosquito Point and Bowran Point is worth a look for Salmon on lures and white bait.

Paynesville
Luderick are out and about with weed as preferred bait. Offshore at Loch Sport for Gummies and Snapper taking pilchards. Bream are being caught in Lake King at the mouth of the Mitchell River on spider crab and local prawn.

Holland’s Landing
McLennan Strait for Bream and at Bull Bay. The channel into Lake Wellington for Flathead and Bream with prawn as preferred bait.

Marlo
Plenty of Mullet in the rivers with worm as best bait. Bream are a bit patchy in the lake system, but they are there. Surf for Salmon and Tailor on pilchards and poppers. Offshore for Flatties and Octopus, pilchards as preferred bait.

Bemm River
Surf Beach for Salmon and Trevally all good sized fish on pilchards and poppers. Bream are patchy but will take prawn as best bait. Some Tailor are cruising taking lures.

Tamboon Inlet
Bream are around the river mouth taking worm and prawn. West Bay for Flatties taking white bait. Salmon on surf taking pilchard and blue bait.

Mallacoota
Both Top and Bottom Lake for Bream and Flatties on lures and all baits. Harrison Channel and Fisheries Jetty for Luderick on low tide using weed. Trevally are about taking pilchards. Surf for Salmon on pilchard and poppers. Offshore for Marlin.

Omeo High Country
It is dry again up in all the rivers so fishing will be a lot quieter. Most rivers will have smaller Trout about but you will need to be patient, using flies and lures.
