Lakes Entrance
All town jetties are producing mullet and trevally, best results using blue bait and worm. The surf beaches for salmon on pilchards and poppers. Off shore the six and eight mile reefs for pinkies and morwong. Out wide for swordfish, best baits being pilchard and squid.

Lake Tyers
The surf beach for salmon on pilchards and poppers. From Devil’s Hole and down to Cameron’s Arm for bream taking worm and prawn. Crystal Bay and Burnt Bridge also have bream.

Mitchell River
The highway bridge for luderick and bream. From the grassy banks and to Shadoof Lodge also have bream. Best results using spider crab, prawn and worm.

Tambo River
From Whelans to the car park area has bream from 31cm to 35cm with shrimp and prawn as preferred bait.

From the little cliffs and all the way up to the strait six for bream and flathead. Best results using prawn and worm.

Best spot to try for bream, mullet and perch are Chinaman’s Creek, Box’s Creek in the northwest section. Try the shallows at night for larger bream on spider crab and prawn

Town jetties and Raymond Island jetties for mullet with some bream about. The surf at Ocean Grange for salmon and gummies on pilchards and squid.

Holland’s Landing
Mc Lennan Strait, Woodpile to Medusa Point and Tom’s Creek has bream, mullet and some luderick. Best baits are worm, soft shell and peeled prawn. Blonde bay is worth a try as well.

Off shore for gummies and flathead. Squid and pilchard as best bait. Bream have returned to the river taking earth worm. Tailor are at the Marlo jetty on hard bodied lures and pilchards. The surf for salmon on pilchards and poppers.

Bemm River
Surf is producing trevally and salmon on pilchards, blue bait and metal slugs. The lake is best for bream taking worm and peeled prawn.

Tamboon Inlet For bream the river mouth and up to Furnell Landing at the deep hole taking cut crab and worm. The lake is best for trevally and tailor on blue bait. The surf beach for salmon on pilchard and poppers.

Off shore for flathead and gummies on pilchard and squid. Both lakes for bream on yabbies. Luderick at Fisheries Jetty on weed. Trolling with lure for trevally and tailor. Raw chicken and lures for best results.
