Lakes Entrance:
Town jetties for trevally with blue bait and pilchards. Some garfish are up the North Arm on worm. The surf beach for salmon on pilchards and lures. Off shore six and seven mile reefs have pinkies, snapper and morwong using pilchards and squid.

Lake Tyers :
Flathead are at Fisherman’s Landing on prawn. Bream and tailor are up past the island and heading up the Nowa Nowa Arm to Devil’s Hole. Best results using bass yabbies.

Mitchell River:
Bream are about from Grassy Banks, the barrier and up to the butter factory. The backwaters are also worth a look with cut crab, prawn and worm as referred bait.

Tambo River:
The best spots for bream are the Rough Road and up to Punthouse Point. Best bait being worm.

Nicholson:
From the Pear Tree, past the two bridges and up to the Strait Six are best for bream with worm and prawn as best bait.

Metung:
The boardwalk and Boxes Creek are producing flathead with best results using prawn and soft plastics. The town jetties and Chinaman’s Creek for mullet on worm.

Paynesville:
Bream are in the strait chasing shrimp as preferred bait. Tailor are cruising about chasing silver lures.

Holland’s Landing:
The best spots for bream are at Holland’s Landing. Bait of choice being worm. Tom’s Creek is also worth a look for bream.

Marlo:
The Brodribb River has bream and perch with worm as the best bait. Luderick are around the rock groynes. The surf for salmon and tailor on pilchards, poppers and silver lures. Off shore for flathead and gummy shark on pilchards and squid.

Bemm River:
The entrance is still open. Bream are heading up river taking worm and local prawn. Some flathead are also about. The surf for salmon and tailor on pilchards, poppers and silver lures.

Tamboon Inlet:
Bream are up past Furnell Landing. Pinkies and trevally in the inlet, best baits being blue bait, white bait and worm. The surf for salmon on lures and pilchards.

Mallacoota:
Off shore for gummies and flathead taking squid. Top and bottom lakes for flathead and bream. The Genoa and Wallagaraugh Rivers are also worth a try. Best results from prawn. In the Narrows for perch using lures.

Omeo High Country:
Best spots for trout are at the Cobungra and Mitta Mitta rivers. Best results using lure, wobblers and spinners.
