the store has been recieving all of our new trade show stock, and the boys have been hard at work getting it out on the shelves. Store manager, Lee Mcduffie has found time to sneak down to Port Macdonnell with staff member Mitch and friend of the store Chris, so fingers crossed for the boys on their Tuna quest. Also on the water, Lee has been getting into some nice snapper.

Western Port
Barry Patterson recently fished Stockyard Point on the low tide, using a strip of fresh Salmon for bait he managed to score himself this reasonable sized gummy shark.

Lee and his good mate Aaron Habgood of Reds Fishing Adventures, are currently out fishing the artificial reef and getting into some RED HOT snapper fishing using Pilchards and fresh squid for bait. Here are the boys pictured with 2 of a 12 fish so far for the afternoon.

Port Phillip Bay
Mathew Schemeczko wandered on down to Mornington Pier the other morning and fished for Salmon using small white Zman Plastics. Mathew managed to hook up to this cracking fish that went 2.89kg. He reports that this was one of several fish caught that morning.

Marty White also fished Mornington Pier and got onto a good Salmon bite. He reports that all was quiet until suddenly the water boiled and gulls started diving everywhere. He Landed five great sized salmon, two at 50cm and three at about 40cm. All were caught on a metal spinner.

John Photias went out for a quick session off Portalington. He reports that the weather was terrible, but he still fished in 20 knot winds. John managed to get a few whiting in 2 hours, just on the change of tide using fresh mussels as bait.

Scott Gray has been wreaking havoc on the local population of Brown Trout around the Warrnambool region lately. Pictured here is Scott with an absolute HORSE of a brown trout caught on a Rapala CD9, proving the age old adage of 'elephants still eat peanuts'.

Good customer Jacob was rewarded for his efforts fishing out of Portland recently. While other boats decided to head further down to Port Macdonnell, Jacob fished the bait rich waters of Portland. This fish was one of two hooked using the Marlin Magic Baby Head Head in Black Rainbow colour.

Port Macdonnell
Mossy, Aaron and Kevin were down at Port Mac earlier this week during that cracking Jumbo bite. Here are the 2 fish they managed to bring onboard over the 2 days they were on the water. Both fish weighed over 110kg and were caught on Marlin Magic Baby Hard Heads in the colour Otto.

Richard Abela from Dream Catcher II Sportsfishing Adventures was also down in Port Macdonnell during the recent bite window. Richie along with a crew of Andrew Calleja and Nick Lazarevski were able to hook multiple fish during their time on the water. Here is just one of those magnificent Jumbo Bluefin Tuna that they managed to hook and land.
