Report 9/8/19

Post by Nicole Penfold » Fri Aug 09, 2019 3:59 pm

A bitter cold start to the weekend will dampen desires to go fishing but it will improve going into next week. The Murray is currently dropping but a small rise is expected during the week and the Edward river at Moulamein has been rising for the past week or so.

THE MURRAY RIVER:
- The Frenchmans has been flowing for the past week and the yellas will be taking whatever is thrown at them.
- The Wemen/Hattah area has been producing yellas on small yabbies and scubworms bobbed amongst snags.
- Glenn Boag and a couple of mates fished upstream from swan hill last saturday with Justin Cheester landing a 49.5cm cod and Mick Dalziel a 65cm cod both on bait-Glenn finished up with zip but he was a good chauffeur!
- Had a couple in buying some gear for their son and they showed me a couple of photos of a 57 & 72cm there son caught at Murrabit last weekend.

THE LITTLE MURRAY:
- Had a guy in during the week chasing yabbies and he told me that he had caught a 60cm cod near the Pioneer Settlement the day before.

LAKE BOGA:
- A visitor to the caravan park landed several good size yellas off the structures in the lake, which is a good sign considering the water temp at this of the year.

This weeks photos:
- Justin Cheesters cod
- Mick Dalziels cod.
- Yellas from Lake Boga.
