Report 16/10/15

Post by Nicole Penfold » Fri Oct 16, 2015 4:45 pm

Another fine weekend coming for anglers to hit our rivers and lakes. The Murray is back on the rise again while the Wakool and Edwards rivers have steadied, with all rivers fishing OK.

-Mick from the Boundary Bend store reports that the yellas are still on the bite in the aream, with some fish weighing in at 4lb+,with most fish being caught on small yabbies.
-A couple of locals were fishing the Wakool river at Stoney Crossing during the week, were they landed some nice yellas around the 49cm mark also on yabbies.
-A bloke camping on the Murray at the Floodway picked up a 54cm.a 52cm yella a 93cm cod and 5 smaller cod between 50-60cm (cod were released of course) on Wednesday. All fish were caught on yabbies.
-Further along the Murray a few yellas have been picked up near the Abattoirs, the Nyah forest and Wood Wood areas.
-Barnsy from the Kyalite Pub was in the shop yesterday and said that fish were being caught in the Wakool and Edward rivers, everything from Yellowbelly Cod,Catfish and Silver Perch were being caught on most baits.
-And a young couple were also in my shop yesterday and said that the Murrumbidgee River at Maude had risen a metre and a half and everyone was bagging out with a couple of hours. Most fish were caught on shrimp and yabby tails.

If you want 2 free entries (valued at $200) into this year's Mulwala Cod Classic, spend $50 or more in my shop to go into the draw.

Until next week, happy fishing!
