Post by Nicole Penfold » Fri Dec 18, 2015 1:54 pm

Reports coming in from all our rivers are showing that the fishing has'nt slowed since my last report, the Murray has finally settled and water clarity is good, the Edward and Wakool rivers have been falling slightly and there is a small flow going through the Merran Creek.

THE MURRAY RIVER:
- The Mildura area is producing cod to 118cm on large dark coloured lures anda few yellas have been taking shrimp and worms.
- A couple of anglers landed 2 cod around the metre mark on black/gold and black/purple 120mm Codzilla lures in the Hattah area last weekend.
- Anglers fishing below the Euston weir picked up a couple of cod to 70cm on black/purple and black/green large lures on the troll on tuesday and I did hear that another camp above the weir also landed several just legal and smaller cod on bait along with a couple of yellas.
- Mick from the Boundary Bend store reports that bucket loads of yellas have been caught on shrimp and worms and cod to 65cm have been taking most baits.
- The Kenley area is producing cod to 65cm on shrimp, worms and grubs and yellas to 45cm on small yabbies an shrimp.
- Locally at Swan Hill plenty of cod have been caught near Murray Downs with a couple around 80cm caught during the week and further out,a another camp picked up 6 cod from 40 to 82cm and a few yellas to 51cm and in the Floodway area a couple of blokes landed several cod from 65 to 84cm-all the fish were caught on bait.

THE WAKOOL RIVER:
- Anglers fishing near the Gee Gee bridge area picked up cod to 57cm and several yellas to 49cm on bait last weekend.
- The Stoney Crossing area produced several undersize cod and a few legal yellas all on bait.

THE EDWARD RIVER:
- One camp were situated half way between Moulamien and Kyalite for 4 days where they landed 30 cod with 2 over 75cm,all the fish were caught on all baits.
- At Moulamein itself several cod ranging from 45 to 80cm were landed last weekend on bait and "Gibbo" fished the Billabong where he landed several yellas to 43cm and cod up to 63cm on grubs, yabbies and scrubbies.

No reports from the lakes this week, its been a bit windy to get on them.

XMAS/BOXING DAY.
- The shop will BE closed xmas day and will be open from 7.00am on Boxing Day until late-I will have plenty of yabbies,grubs,scrubworms,A1 and Red worms and frozen shrimp.

Until Next Week, Good Fishing and keep cool - JC
