If its not going to rain the weather can stay fine and sunny, which it has been for the past week, and will continue to over the weekend-ideal for getting out on the river.

The Murray river has dropped considerably,so it would be advisable to to care when boating and its much the same with the Wakool river at Kyalite.

The Edward River:
- A regular customer from Moulamein who only uses lures in that area ,said he has been picking up one to two cod from 60 to 90cm on trolled oargee lures, every time he hits the water-and he said the water clarity had cleaned up.
- The river at Kyalite is producing some legal cod and a few yellas on most baits.

The Wakool River:
- Russell Sandford picked up a 80cm cod on a spinnerbait at Kyalite last weekend fishing with a few mates.(This weeks picture)

The Murray River:
- A 114cm cod was landed on a 170mm Koolabung jointed Cod Cracker surface lure in the Mildura area.(This weeks picture)
- Mick from the Boundary Bend store says that the river is an olive green colour BUT there is no blue-green algae there and several cod up to 65cm and yellas to 45cm have been taking most baits. He said a lot of yellas had been caught by bobbing baits amongst the snags.
- Daniel McCashney from swan hill put in at the boat ramp last weekend and trolled lures up to the Pental Island caravan park, where he landed a 76-53-39cm cod on a yellow and brown 120mm lure in a couple of hours.
- Seven year old Chase Campbell was fishing with his dad at Brooks Lane last weekend and hooked onto a 93cm cod using cheese-well done Chase(Next weeks photo).

## There is still no "Red Alert" algal bloom in the Murray from Murrabit through to Red Cliffs and I received a message this morning saying that Lower Murray Water had lifted the river alert at Mildura at 4.00pm yesterday, allowing people to use water.

Until next Week- Happy Fishing JC.
