Once again reports are slow with not many anglers about this week on any of our rivers. The algal alerts are still in place even though the rivers "appear" to be getting back to normal, and trying to talk to someone in Lower Murray or Goulburn Murray water is near impossible.

- The river here at Swan Hill has been rising this week and a few fish have been caught.Daniel McCashney and his mate fish last saturday and landed 5 cod with the biggest at 54.5cm and then on the sunday, they landed 6 cod with nbthe biggest at 55.5cm-all caught on balls of shrimp bobbed amongst the snags.
- Mates fishing at Wemen on monday landed a metre plus cod on a trolled lure.
-The Mildura/Wentworth area produced some nice cod up to a metre plus last weekend on trolled black/white and black/green frog pattern 150mm lures-but they said it was hard going with the low barometer.

- The river is also rising currently sitting at 1.8mtrs and will continue to rise for the next week with the drawdown of Stephens weir.Had a regular in today who said he caught 5 good size yellas in 2 hours yesterday near Moulamein on shrimp and worms.

- Barnsy from the pub said the river was starting to clear up and that the fishing had been slow, with a few yellas caught at Stoney Crossing. The week before Dave Fyffe and a mate landed several yellas all over 48cm not far from the bridge.
Campers at the top end of the Wakool caught several cod on bait last weekend.

- Talking to a regular customer the other day and he said his mate sent him a photo of a 1.28mtr cod caught on a lure in the creek last weekend. This is one of several big cod that have been caught in the creek over the past 6-8 months.
