FURTHER ALGAL UPDATE- The red alert has been lifted in the Edward River from Moulamein to the junction at Kyalite and in the Wakool River from the Wakool-Barham Road bridge to the Murray River junction at Kenley

THE MURRAY RIVER:
- Campers at Goodnight had a good weekend with them telling me that the yellas were "going off",with some up to 4.5lb and one angler landed a 50lb cod on a bardi grub.
- Anglers fishing the Piangil area landed yellas up to 47cm and several cod to 57cm on shrimp.
- Another angler landed to two cod with an hour at Greenham Lane also on shrimp-one was 40cm the other 47cm.
- A couple of 65cm cod were caught on yabbies and grubs near Brookes Lane last sunday.
- A group of mates fishing below Lock 9 over the long weekend, landed several cod ranging from 81cm to 115cm on 140mm lures-the biggest yellabelly came in at 54cm.

THE MURRUMBIDGEE RIVER:
- The report from the Balranald area was the heaps of yellas to 52cm were caught on yabbies,shrimp,scrubworms and bibless cranks.Parts of the Bidgee has seen the flow going from 87ml as day to 49,000ml a day,with the gates at the Redbank Weir wide open.

THE KYALITE AREA:
- Barnsy from the pub said that anybody who fished either the Edward or Wakool rivers last weekend finished up with a feed of yellas or cod,with most fish caught on scrubworms.
