Report 18/9/16

Post by Nicole Penfold » Sun Sep 18, 2016 10:48 pm

The weekly heavy rain events have certaintly put a damper on fishing conditions with all our rivers pushing through a fair amount of water, and from all reports, there is more to come in coming weeks.

THE WAKOOL RIVER:
- The river is currently rising at Stoney Crossing and this weeks photo is of a 3.4kg yella caught near the boat ramp at Kyalite last weekend on bait but fish were few and far between.
THE MURRAY RIVER:
- A few fish have been caught locally in shallow water on bait and I have had reports of yellas biting in the Mildura area and below the weir at Wentworth on bait.
THE NIEMUR RIVER:
- The river is fishing well for yellas on a rising river with fish taking yabbies and scrubbies.
LAKE CHARM:
- Starting to hear of a few redfin being caught on bait.
KANGAROO LAKE:
- With the regulators fully open one young bloke has been fishing the channel with yabbies and has been picking up some nice yellas and silvers, with one silver going 50cm.
FLOOD LANE:
- Anglers fishing with bait have been picking up plenty of yellas.

As far as I'm concerned the rain can bugger off any time soon-bring on consistent sunshine-and the rivers can get back to normality!!!

Until Next Week-JC
