Report 27/10/16

Post by Nicole Penfold » Fri Nov 04, 2016 9:27 pm

It looks like we are in for a fine weekend of weather for a change, with temps around the 25-27 deg and little wind.

LAKE CHARM:
- The annual Redfin Classic was held last weekend where 70 boats competed over a day and a half, where 140 redfin were caught-but two boats caught 40 each and another boat caught 5,which means a lot of boats got zip.In saying that, the weather was shit house with strong winds blowing all day on the saturday and early sunday morning.
Just had a couple in shop who live one lake charm and they said they caught 6 redfin and 8 yellas at the northern end of the lake on Monday and another 6 yellas yesterday, all on bait.

LAKE MERRAN:
- The yellas have been going off at the channel that feeds into the back of the lake. The fish have been caught on soft plastics and bibless vibes.

FLOOD LANE:
- Plenty of yellas are still being caught in the channel, along with plenty of carp and the odd cod. Most fish are being caught on bibless vibes.I'm hearing that a lot of the fish a full of eggs,so I hope that anglers are doing the right thing, and are putting them back.

No reports of fish being caught in our rivers this week, which would be a first. Now that the peak in the murray has hit swan hill,
hopefully we will see the river starting to drop, along with the other rivers in time for cod opening.

#If you hitting the rivers this weekend be wary of the high rivers and flows and boat to the conditions.

Until Next Week-Happy Fishing JC
